Diverse book recommendations, please?

As some of you might know, two or three months ago I decided to try to make my reading experience more diverse by reading more books with non straight white cis protagonists. This is proving to be more difficult than I thought it would because the only way I can think of to specifically search for more diverse books are goodreads lists, but those really aren’t all that reliable.
So, I wanted to ask wether anyone here either knows some good books with queer peoplw and/or people of colour as their protagonists or can hand me some reliable sources for finding such books? If you do, please tell me, I would be forever grateful for it.

I have quite recommendations list of these from my own seeking out of diverse books. My taste does usually run to adult fantasy and SciFi, with a smattering of YA but I’ll share what I have! I also haven’t read all these so any other input would be great if anyone recognizes someone the like/dislike.

The Tankborn series by Karen Sandler is one of the few YA book series I’ve seen with a person of color on the cover so that bodes well. I’m wanting to try it soon

For LGBTQA fiction, these are a lot of YA and some adult. I would recommend the Booktuber WoolfsWhistle. She’s adorable and has great, honest videos. She reads and seeks out queer fiction almost exclusively.

Thanks so much for this, I will definitely check these books out!
I also remembered that I read the first book of the Nightrunner series by Lynn Flewelling a while ago which features two male protagonists of whom one is rather innocent and not yet certain of his sexuality I think and the other one is bisexual, if I remember correctly? Just in case anyone is looking for more recommendations, I think the book was actually really interesting, I don’t know why I never picked up the sequel. Maybe this “challenge” I set myself is a good reason to finally do it.

Yes! I’ve heard of that one as well! That also reminds me of another Urban Fantasy series I did read the first book of a while ago and remember enjoying. The main character lesbian blacksmith (modern day, she made props and whatnot for movies) who somehow inherits a sword from Norse mythology.
It was a while ago so I don’t remember how stock she was or how well it was done but I do remember a kick ass huge fight at the end.
Black Blade Blues by J.A. Pitts, the Sarah Beauhall Series.
